November 21st, 2007, 12:00 AM #1Is the traffic valid?
Iíve been receiving a lot of traffic from blackfriday.com (please don't click on any CPC links, don't want to cause extra expenses for anyone.) using a Yahoo CPC campaign. Do you consider this valid traffic, or is it junk?
Iím on the fence, I see some good depth sometimes but the ROI is about even at best.
Even though I donít have much faith in it, could setting cookies be worth it?

I unlinked the site reference. If they are a log spammer, they don't deserve a backlink.
Do you run any sort of analytics on the traffic? That should tell you if the traffic is valid or not. If you're technically oriented, it's not that difficult to analyze referrer information on the fly, identify new traffic sources, set session cookies, log session activity, pass those session ID's through the CJ SID parameter (and similar parameters on other networks), and see exactly how effective traffic is from different sources.
