I wouldn't call this 'just April showers' There are icicles hanging off the roof, and there is enough snow for the kids to go sledding

Oh, heck noooo, we didn't get sn*w yesterday and today in Frigi-gan...here we got ICE!

An ice storm started 2 days ago. First it knocked out the cable, causing me to use *gasp* dialup! Then they fixed that. Everything seemed fine for all of 12 hours or so...the slight tap-tap of half-froze rain on the roof being of no further concern...

When yesterday the *electricity* went out!

So after freezing all last night and trying to keep warm with pathetic Duraflames (those "logs" are pretty much only good for looks but it's all we had) I'm sitting in the library waiting for them to fix that.

The Edison guys said (live) that it may be back on today (hoping!!!) but on the phone their tape says the NINTH so who knows?!

I hate the weather in Frigigan...I just hate it... *grrr*...

They've got the power back on here (It's now 55 Faren. in the house, up from 45 BRRRR...) but NOW the local TV station's site is predicting a big dump of SNOW!

And there are still a lot of people in the dark, it seems.

Definitely time to use a site like this site!

Ice storms around here also. Over 150,000 were without power since Friday night. I think they have some of it restored but it is a mess.

On a good note for a cahnge I was lucky and didn't lose the power or cable. The house we had the Basketball party at lost power but was restored before the game started. A lot of county's around here are under states of emergencys. Jeesh, Spring should be starting just in time for Winter

Snowed here about 10 days ago. Colorado's biggest storm in 90 years. I got about 5 feet and the high country up to 11 feet. Love it!

Hey Sal, are you in Binghamton right now? I go to BU! I'd also like to throw in my support for Syracuse.

If we get 12 inches I'm not going to my afternoon classes tomorrow. Actually, even if we don't get the 12 inches, I still won't go to my afternoon classes.

It's April 7, and we NOW have snow here in Macedonia. It has been snowing since last night and we already got about 15cm (~6 inches).

Isn't Macedonia supposed to be sunny and hot at this time of year !?!?! The world climate is so f***ed up the last few years people.
