Abagoo,

    The same thing happened to me as wly after the update. A couple sales were duplicate. I know the first time I saw compliance my heart dropped thinking I was doing something wrong but Todd or Dave explained that it is a CJ reversal and not the merchants reversing the sale.

    A couple of months ago I had a huge sale that I knew wouldn't stick and did look suspicious. Cj reversed the sale so that it wouldn't effect the merchants reversal rate which to me is a fair deal.

    wly and DaPackster;

    Thanks. Duplicate transactions seems like it makes sense. I knew that one of them was a duplicate transaction, because it's "partner" was reversed for that reason.

    Are the "compliance" reversals done by CJ, while others are done by merchants? In one case I got hit twice ... once for "duplicate sale" and once for "compliance", so, in effect, the whole thing was reversed, not just the duplicate.

    Merchants usually notify CJ when a huge fraud sale comes in and we don't want it affecting our reversal stats. CJ's compliance dept. then reverses it and it disappears from the CJ system entirely. Sometimes CJ picks these things up automatically and they reverse it. I don't know how they know but merchants can view what CJ has reversed for "compliance".

    That sale might be worth looking into. It may be posible that the CJ compliance team deleted one of the sales because of the duplicate when they did this last update. That sale would be compliance. Then what might of happened was that the merchant also seen the sales and pretty much did the same thing with the other one. I would email the merchant and see if that was the case. Seems like one of the sales should of stayed. JMO!

    One thing that happened to me though was I was credited with 3 of the same sales when CJ was doing their update. CJ took 2 away and the third is still there. Just wondering if it's posible you actually had 3 of the same sales. If not I would contact them.
