    Approved in Email But Pending on SAS
    I joined a SAS merchant last night. Soon afterwards, I received an email from merchant stating.....

    Congratulations! You have been approved for the XXXXX performance marketing campaign with Share-A-Sale.

    Now when I look at this merchant on my SAS Dashboard, it shows as Pending.

    That happens to me sometimes too.

    I think it must be a standard auto SAS e-mail.

    Exactly the same problem. Home & garden merchant.
    But in the morning everything seems ok.

    Sounds like this merchant has entered the text for their "approval" message into the automatic reply message that goes out to everyone who applies to the program.

    I even think I know what got them confused (unless this is a standard SaS e-mail, and not a merchant's text). In merchant preferences and settings (next to the box where you enter the "reply email text" it says:

    Reply email Text: Sent to your Affiliates when they APPLY for your program. This will also be the only email sent if your program is set to "Auto-Approve"

    Sounds like they misread it as being the approval e-mail.

    The email even has pre-coded links with my SAS ID that I can use. I'll just sit on my hands until something changes.

    If you don't get a real approval email today, then it would be a good idea to contact the merchant through the SAS interface. I find that many merchants will respond quickly to that.
