Hopefully it will be soon here in Indiana! Just 2 days ago it was 67 Degrees out .. I guess the old saying about the weather here is true. If you don't like it, wait 5 minutes .. hopefully all this icky rain will go away soon. Enjoy the snow and hopefully a white xmas!!

Kristin, now I must beat you.

The expression, "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes," was coined by Mark Twain. He said it in reference to Connecticut (or New England, reports vary). So we Nutmeggers OWN that expression and would prefer the rest of the world not try to co-opt it. Got that?

However, that said, the only place I've ever been where the expression was literally true was the highlands of Scotland.

It's okay. I forgive you. Just don't let it happen again or I'll have to tell the other Nutmeggers about you.

I've been out twice digging out. Over 3" each time. Then I drove to town in it, slowwwwly. Another hour and I'll dig again.

I wait ten minutes, but it just changes to worse!

Thank you, Herb. As usual you're getting more weather than you deserve while here in the foothills of New England we're getting less of it.

Does it peeve anyone else that The New England Society's annual dinner in 1876 was held in New York City? I'll have to check a history web site but I don't recall New England ever annexing New York City. Perhaps it seceded?
