December 21st, 2007, 11:15 AM #1I think it worked!
I am in the midst of building my first affiliate site (as some of you are aware of by now). I have been working on how to redirect or cloak my links so that the user does not see that messy looking affiliate link at the bottom of the screen.
Because of this post - http://forum.abestweb.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=15 (Thanks Rick!)
I think I have figured it out. This is cause for celebration for me because I am definitely not an experienced programmer. I just barely know css and html. (go ahead, laugh )
I test clicked the link I changed and it did take me to the merchants site and I went to check my affiliate stats and it looks like I got credit for the click.
Is there a way to be absolutely sure I am getting credit for the click?

Ask the AM to look at the IP address of the click and your last logged in IP address - if they are the same...then you got credit...
