I have an older IBM server that is used as a file server that every 5-10 days justs reboots on it own and hangs up in setup, I hit continue and it fires up.

    Any ideas?

you most have a timer on some were in the setup.
or your server is not so good in the power.

if your server is standing still for a long time it can go down, but that is only some of the servers, cant say what server sorry.

i use the windows 2002 advanced server i think thats the best for you or maybe someone els can help you some more.

i am not so good whit the old software.

I've had similar problems in the past (I used to be a computer engineer). Normally it was memory related. Heat buildup just gets too much for the poor old RAM sometimes. If you have several memory chips, it may be worth experimenting by removing one at a time. Also check the ventilation of the cabinet. Even now the only way I can keep one of my PCs running is to keep the side panels of so that heat doesn't build up.

I have new memory in it about two months ago.
side cover is off, I don't think it is heat problem.

Could it be one of those little batteries?
