    Possible to put php in dyse templates?
    I use <!--#include virtual="/filename.php"--> to include results of some php files

    But what I'd really love to do is put some php code in the header and body.

    You can't use SSI and PHP on the same document, so you need to choose one or the other. Definitely best to stick with PHP. In which case the syntax is:

    <?php include('filename.php'); ?>

    This is going in a template that is run by a perl script. I don't think php includes work with it...which is probably going to be the answer...php won't work.

    But since I'm totally unfamiliar with perl, other than following install instructions, I'm hoping there may be some way around this. What happens after the script generates the html? No chance for apache to run php on it? I can get the php code into the page by using the virtual include command and to include the code from a text file. But it is not parsed and shows up in the source code.

    I'd like to find out the answer to this, too.

    I've used one or two of the DYSE templates, and it THINK I was able to modify the templates using PHP includes. But it's been awhile, so I don't recall exactly what I did.

    I don't think the perl functions would have anything to do with whether you can modify the templates though, really. The templates are basic HTML, with the perl variables included. So I don't think modifying the HTML with PHP includes will affect the perl functions, as long as you don't remove or modify the perl functions.

    But I know pretty much NOTHING about perl, so anyone else would be more helpful. Just all speculation on my part.

    I think the final answer is here.

    So I'll see if there is a way I can make this work by passing a variable and then using virtual includes.
