All,

As we near the 10,000 Member mark (we are at 8,757) and the 200,000 messages mark (more than any other affiliate marketing forum!! - we are currently at 159,187) I was starting to think of some goodies for the 200,000th poster and the 10,000th member ... any ideas?

For our 100,000th post (11/26/02) by popdawg he got:

A subscription to wordtracker for a year

A star Gift Card ($300.00)

1 year hosting on TH Media

A year of unlimited Banner ads on BanneradXchange

A $50 Gift Certificate on any purchase over $100 [Jewelry Only]

A domain name for two years with email/web forwarding, registry lock, and SPAM-Shield[/list]

    Some ABW gear, from http://www.abestweb.com/store/

t-shirt, sweatshirt, mug, tote bag, mousepad, baseball cap, personalized autographed pic of Haiko

Maybe sponsored trip to LS symposium, Affiliateforce, or something like that.

They get to pick whatever title they want under their Nick, instead of elite, super member etc.

I think TrustNo1®'s idea of something from the ABW shop is a great one.

I notice Tom and Akiva have already stepped up to the plate...it just shows the class of the merchants we have here, thanks guys.

I think prize for 200,000 post is good idea, 10,000 member bad idea. It's would be nice to think everybody here is honest and fair, but thats not reality when money and prizes come into the picture. I can see when it gets close, 9,997, 9,998 somebody getting their friend to sign up, or wife, hubby just to get prizes. Just a thought.

Agreed. Besides, how does being the 10,000th member really benefit those of us that post day in and day out? I'd rather see prizes go to somebody that contributes in the forum (even if it's Mike and Charlie) than to somebody that randomly signs up.

If you are really going to give away prizes for the 10,000th user, I'll get busy now and you'll have your winner by the end of the day.

    Michael

Charlies smarter than your average bird. He knows if the prize is a bird cage and parrot treats then whoever wins will get a PM from him about the important part. How you going to enjoy free beer at Bush Gardens in Tampa Fla without a bird companion to attract the ladies.

Speaking of member numbers. I used to enjoy sporting my #7 around. When was that taken away?
