Arrow Is Targeted Traffic a Scam ?
Recently I have been looking around to get some quality traffic to my debt consolidation site. Few of my internet buddies warned me not to spend my money on getting targeted hits. Apparently they use bots & stuff to deliver the hits..

Can anyone shed some light on this ? Oh yes, if there is a genuine traffic provider then please recommend me one !

    Thanks,

    Starchet

These 'targeted traffic' sites generally sell traffic for a few bucks per thousand hits. If I had access to thousands of people who were interested in "debt consolidation' for example, I wouldnt sell it for a few bucks.

The human traffic, if it exists at all, would be low quality, like forced redirects and paid-to-click'ers from some foreign country.

It's what your buddies have told you. Some of it is bots, some of it is what Simcat posted, fake hit scripts, some if it is stuff like this - http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=34075

I tried some of that out in my rookie year, didn't know any better. Where I visited a certain number of pages and I would get traffic in return. Then I realised it was basically a bunch of people just like me, refreshing their browsers and I was just getting traffic from the other people doing the same thing.

This was the first one I ever tried, Startblaze, ah the memories lol

Startblaze now just redirects to some other site.

While I mostly agree with what was advised prior to my post here, there are some possible good paid traffic sources. One of my favorites is traffic from small to medium ISPs. Some of these companies sell their search and directory results in a bulk fashion and the choice of category of traffic is available also (clothing, automobiles, technology, etc.)

It takes a little (actually a lot) of searching, but you can find these ISPs in various places around the country. I won't provide you a list though, as it has taken me quite a while myself to figure this out. Have fun.
