January 14th, 2008, 11:43 AM #1New AvantLink Merchant: OutdoorBasics.com
We are pleased to announce the program launch of OutdoorBasics.com on AvantLink!
OutdoorBasics.com is a premier source for outdoor equipment and is a subsidiary of Logan Outdoor Products, LLC., which specializes in online marketing and sales for outdoor products. Much like its sister site OutdoorCooking.com (launched in AvantLink back in September), OutdoorBasics.com is highly optimized with very high conversion. They are paying 8% on a 120 day cookie. Note that if traffic you send moves between the two sites (they cross promote their stores) you'll be credited for any resulting sales. We got you covered!
This is an exclusive Avantlink merchant, and we're excited to see what the spring and summer brings in terms of Affiliate sales. The weather will be changing before you know it, and people will start gearing up for outdoor recreation, camp cooking and all that comes with lazy summer evenings outside...so get the OutdoorBasics' datafeed or link campaigns added to the appropriate site or category ASAP and be ready!
Highlights of the OutdoorBasics Affiliate program include:
- Commission Payout: 8%
- Cookie Days: 120
- Average Order Value: $98.00
- Average Site Conversion: 4.95%
If you're already an AvantLink Affiliate, you can sign-up for this program by following these steps:
- Login to your Affiliate account at AvantLink.com
- Select 'Merchants' from the main menu
- Locate 'OutdoorBasics.com' in the merchant list

Quick question. If we were members of both programs and we sent a visitor to OutdoorBasics who then clicked to OutdoorCooking via the button or one of the links on the Basics nav menu, would a sale on Cooking track back to us?

Eathan, Yep. They're using our merchant/parent functionality so all sales will track between the two sites. As you've noted they do cross promote so this is important.
Terms are the same for both programs..

Cool, Gary. Still getting familiar with all the stuff you guys have going over there. Really glad to hear everything tracks between the two.
