OUCH! Updated datafeed columns messed up

Hi. I just checked the datafeed at SAS, and it appears to have had the mysterious "new column" or column shift or something that a couple of us have discovered in a couple of other SAS datafeeds which were recently updated.

This makes it really difficult to work with the feed.

I hope someone at SAS can tell us whether this is a new format/structure for SAS datafeeds now? Or is it something because of "shared programmers" being used by the same merchants?

Makes it very difficult for those of us who are trying to build datafeed websites to have such changes suddenly thrown in the mix?

Gary, is the problem here identical to the one you have brought up here? There are no "shared programmers" between FTC and CFB. Hence, my question.

Yes, Geno, I think from the looks of the datafeed, it's the same problem.

Again, my apologies for so much waving of my arms, shouting screaming, and running around in virtual circles in panic. LOL!

I'm sure it's all stuff that Brian and the good SAS crew will clear up. (I'll sit back, take a few deep breaths, and be quiet now. *whew*

I just pulled a copy of our datafeed (in its raw form -- before any of the SAS tracking info is appended). I don't see anything that looks unusual. We haven't made any changes to the format of our feed in years.

I am actually out of the office and on vacation with my family this week. I will email Sarah and see if she and Michael can take a look and see if they see any problems.

Also... if any of you do need to reach me this week, the best way is via email cfb at frontiernet.net. If you have a burning pajama-related question that simply cannot wait, you can call our office (877-576-5256) during business hours and ask for either Tammy or Melissa P.

Thanks.

FYI -- In another thread (sorry, I don't have the link handy) later yesterday, Brian and some others indicated there may be something going on with all SAS datafeeds updated recently, so it probably isn't a cfb problem -- it's happening/happened with several datafeeds.

Brian said they are working to resolve the issue.

All Fixed!

Hey Guys,

As you've already noticed this was a network issue that was affecting several ShareASale merchants. The issue has now been resolved. I just pulled the CFB datafeed and all looks in order again. So we're good to go!
A new feed was just uploaded yesterday as well. You can get the fresh feed here.

If you still notice anything out of place, don't hesitate to let me know directly at Sarah(at)ShareASale.com.

A short time ago we set up a new server and downloaded FTP datafeeds from eight SAS merchants. Everything looks good thus far; so it appears the glitch has been fixed.

BTW - the eight merchants included CSN with all of their individual store-group feeds. It took [just] under 15 seconds to download and populate the database tables. WooHoo - FAST connections today.

BTW #2 - I just applied for CrazyForBargains.com FTP datafeed access.

I need another couple of days to get the BTW #3 together. Hopefully, I'll be sending you a PM later this week.
