I just got this in today. I'm so psyched. I've just gotta figure out a place to store this $25M! Maybe clean out one of the closets? Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe I can store some at your place???

Hello Pal,

I hope my email meets you well. I am in need of your assistance. My
name is Sgt. Joey Jones. I am an American soldier serving in the
military of the 1st Armored Division in Iraq, we have just been posted
out of Iraq and to return in a short while. My colleague and I need
your help to transfer out the sum of Twenty Five Million U.S Dollars
(US25.0M).

The money which is now in the custody of a Security Company is part of
the money we seized from late Saddam Hussein but was not declared.
Right now I am in the Bagdad trying to sort out things with the
Security Company to ensure a smooth and unhindered transfer of the
money to you,Therefore be assured that the transfer is safe and risk
free.

My colleague and I need a good partner someone we can trust to
actualize this venture. But we are moving it through diplomatic means to
your house directly or a safe and secured location of your choice using
a shipping company. But can we trust you? Once the funds get to you, you
take your 40% out and keep our own 60%. Your own part of this deal is
to find a safe place where the funds can be sent to. Our own part is
sending it to you.

If you are interested via email:deleted@yahoo.cn and I will
furnish you with more details,

Awaiting your urgent response. Your Buddy.
Sgt. Joey Jones.

There is a whole subculture for doing that. One website is "419 eater." They have a trophy room of pictures of the scammers doing silly things the repliers have led them to photograph themselves doing. Hilarious.

My brother is stationed with the 101st Air Mobile Division in Iskandariyah. I'll ask him to run on over to the 1st Armored Division, find Sgt. Joey Jones and bring the money back in his Bradley Fighting Machine! He is coming back stateside next money, do you want that in a check or cash?

Geeeze, Bob - I can help you buy that new airplane. I know you've been looking at one. Time to "move up."

Lemonade is about all you'll need to store! Congratulations on your good fortune though. You are one lucky little lemonade maker!

What always amazes me are the people who REALLY DO FALL FOR THAT STUFF. If you watch any of the TV court shows (okay, okay, I've confessed before that I'm a "Judge Judy" fan, so what??) you'll find idiots who've fallen for just about every Nigerian scam out there. Often there are cases of dopes who've cashed bogus money orders for friends -- and are now on the hook because the money orders/checks/whatever bounced and the "friend" they helped refuses to give the money back.

Amazing. Funny, in a black humor sort of way. But amazing.
