I'm Out - 2 weeks

Very excited to tell you that I'll be away for two plus weeks starting....

NOW! (well, actually starting in about two minutes when I am done with this post)

Heading up to Northern Utah to drop off the muts at the in-laws, then Monday morning we're off to Germany until 8/19. My wife's sister and family live in a small village in the country.. and that's where I'm hiding out. No cell phone, no laptop. And no tourist stuff. Just hiking, camping and relaxing.

If anyone needs anything email support/at/avantlink.com and someone will respond promptly.

Nice, Germany is beautiful, lived there 12 years on and off. Need to get back for a visit one of these days.

Wow, nice. Over the last few years we have had the opportunity so spend several weeks in Germany - mostly Bavaria. It is a beautiful country, with friendly people, good food and great beer.

I'm back. Was a great trip. The travel was a little tiring with our one year old, but she was a trooper.

Spent a lot of days simply hanging out in their (my wife's sister & family) tiny village in the country side. Picking wild blackberries and feeding the horses.

We did get into Belgium for a few days, and spent some time in Heidelberg. We also cruised the Rhine River which may have been the highlight of the trip for me. Sat on the upper deck with feet up, good wine and snacks, and the camera in hand.

The whole trip was perfect.

Now back to work

Haven't been back up to the house, yet. Still in Cache valley retrieving the muts. But no reports of wild fires or bear break ins from my friend who was watering the garden..
