Datafeed Updated & Expanded

The datafeed was updated over the weekend and expanded from 590 items to over 3,000 items. We will be adding thumbnails in many additional colors as soon as we can get the data from their site vendor. As it was set up previously, we used the [SAS] field "Custom1" for size and "Custom3" for color.

Just took a quick look through your 3,000+ item datafeed in PopShops.com.

I'm really puzzled about why so much duplicate content?? It doesn't seem useful to me that the graphics and description are identical in some cases in 5-10 or more individual products?

Not all that useful as far as I can see.

It was the best we could do with what their new site vendor provided. We have been working very hard to get the site vendor to provide the additional data. At least the feed now shows each different size and color, though obviously we want to provide you with the additional images, etc. that exist. The site vendor had been explicitly directed in advance to handle a transition differently, to no avail. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I use SAS make a page. This data feed update is totally useless for this purpose. Some babydoll items are duplicated as many as 23 times. Bras have as many as 99 duplicates of the same bra. Others, maybe more. I give up counting. You say the datafeed has over 3000 items. I say not so. You may not have more than 600 different products. Hips & Curves needs to get themselves a new site vendor. One that knows how to properly prepare a datafeed. Jack, you need to convince H&C that if they wish to remain competitive, they need to supply their affiliates with an accurate usable datafeed. We do not need the different sizes and colors. Those should be supplied on the vendors site not in the datafeed supplied to affiliates.

Actually, The colors and sizes are selected on the product page of each item.

All the duplicate links in the datafeed go to the same page.

I pulled the data, built one manually, and just uploaded it. Please take a look and see if it works for you now.

Jack,

The page maker has no category breakdown. To get any products you have to search by keyword. You have to have the exact keyword or you get nothing. At least, the duplicates are gone. I can now make some product pages. This will work until the issue is resolved.
