Seems like another insidious trojan/worm/virus thingie has been spreading like wildfire. It first showed up on my Explorer browser and I said "Oh well another Explorer issue". Then it spread to Firefox and even Chrome. Thank God for Flock which to date appears to be unaffected. I've tryed a whole bunch of anti spyware, anti malware programs but it still persists although my computers overall performance and response time is much better.

Here is another bit of information. I access the internet through Time Warner cable. They have there own internet portal for Road Runner which I never really liked BUT when I reinstalled Chrome and the nasty bug reared it's ugly head again, I typed in www.rr.com in the address bar and lo and behold Toad Runner came to the rescue. They use Google as their search engine but if I searched Google specifically through their portal, no bug. I'll make do till I bring a professional in to find out what is lurking in my computer that is allowing the redirect by 7.7.7.0 if I just go straight into Yahoo or Google from the front page of Firefox or Chrome but for the moment I'll be grateful for Flock and Road Runner.

Good news. I trolled through forums an finally found someone who talked about the problem and led me to a simple cure. I installed AVAST which not only worked like a charm but was a free download. Hope none of you need it but if you do at least there is a solution.
