Copycat layout and color schemes make me Originality can go a long way.

That's all I have to say about that...

I was browsing your site. The text on most pages are tiny and the text color is so light, it borders on white. Make the text bigger and darker pls, if you want it to be read.

We haven't intentionally copied anybodys colors/schemes.

It has been drawn to my attention since launch that it is not dissimilar from another network, but it is cetainly not intentional.

(We have no reason to copy another networks colours... it gives us no benefit and people like you suspect us of being copycats).

Thanks for the feedback Sam. We tested this on multiple screens without issue so does anybody else have this problem?

Denying it only makes you look worse... Saying that you are made up of affiliates and everyone was clueless that you were copying the color scheme of another large networks style... right. I say Shenanigans! Integrity (or lack of) in the little things gives us an idea of how you run your program in general.

Ok, PDX, well you are of course entitled to your thoughts.

Thanks for looking.

Go to the runbyaffiliates.com/affiliate-overview/ page. The text is very light and tiny. May be the size will be ok, if the text were darker.

Cute PDX, cute.

I lost count of how many networks have used the same green/black/grey scheme (literally over 20) as such, there isn't really an exclusivity/copying aspect there IMO.

True but when you see that color scheme what do you think? That's all I am saying. Originality is a strength in my eyes

I suggest you look at other PC's........... the font sucks it is almost illegible

Also when logging in you have unsecure items that kick a warning???

It appears to be a network that is primarily lead gen.

I also think CJ should be considering an infringement on trade dress, consider changing you theme colors to something not related to a competitor.

Word!

I went to the site and saw CJ.

For someone to say flat out that it was an accident leaves me with a bad taste.

Good idea as far as I can see tho!

Haiko picked out a few new emoticons on the right I see!

YAY!

Yes, it is very light on both of my PCs. However, I am basically a Mac user for all of my development work - and there the overview page is almost illegible. In fact, I used the Mac when I first visited - and clicked away.

Sorry, but it really needs to be darker.

I thought I was going blind when I tried to read some parts of your pages.

Was I ever relieved when I saw other people were having the same problem I was reading your pages.

Yes your font is way too lite on some of the writing on your pages.

It all needs to be Black. Not some of it this color - This color sucks and is too hard to read...

This is viewing your pages on Windows Vista.

I agree with ladidah. This is crap. Oooh look, we do something that means nothing but we say AFFILIATE RUN!!! I don't want my affiliate network affiliate run... especially with you consulting with competing affiliates etc.

This announcement has all the red flags, data miners, proxy domain, craptastic list of scumbag merchants etc etc.

I see nothing new here but a gimmick and plenty of data mining.

The nicest thing someone could do is pick on the color scheme...

Our company name is Webtistic LTD (UK Company Number 6836623, VAT Number GB727894287), and under that we operate websites for a living (it's what we do!).

This is mentioned in both the press release and the 'about us' on the website.

We are not new to this, and anybody with affiliate links to the UK should know that we are legitimate.

The point is, this is just a gimmick for you. Exact same crap on your other networks, but now you redress it to look like you care so much. Do you really think people are that dumb?

Guess those other networks you run are run poorly? We should let affiliates know they are being screwed because only RunByAffiliates.com really cares about your data mining and crap leads!

Don't quite know what to say on this one!

Data Miners? You mean that we ask for users details before they sign up to an affiliate network??

Proxy Domain? I think our developer registered it at Godaddy! Not sure what else there is to say on that. Feel free to check our company credentials.

Scumbag Merchants? Well, it is true to say that as a new network it will take a little time to grow our exclusive/direct campaign list. If you know of any of our merchants who use any kind of unethical methods please PM me.

Gimmick? Well offering affiliates transparency and involvement was seen to be a positive!

Again though, thanks for your thoughts. It all helps!

Thanks for bringing this up...

As per the description and the information on the website, the basic management of the network is being conducted by ourselves. We earn 10% of revenue for this.

There is no sharing of affiliate data at all and complete anonymity is present if that is your wish as per any other network. No other affiliates (including elected staff) have access to other affiliates personal details or performance stats.

Our affiliates will simply have a say on how the network is run through online voting and will be rewarded for it through community rewards, bonuses, additional incentives, awards, etc. Affiliates will have a say on this amongst other network issues and development.

Is this a bad thing?

Moving on, we have decided to change the color scheme and make the gray text on the website more legible.

Again, thanks for the feedback folks!

You consult with affiliate sites, you have access to affiliate data in the runbyaffiliate's network.

And yes, you are just doing more data mining for your consulting business. Hell, half your "merchants" are nothing more than email collection leads themselves. You don't have control over your own developer and he is just running off doing whatever he pleases?

But again, what about the other networks you run? Are you giving those affiliates the shaft by not running it as transparent and well as this one? None of them have the selling points you list here, and aren't they running pretty much the same programs?

There are reasons someone runs a service industry under so many different names instead of building a brand. None of them are a good reasons...
