What the puck is going on?
What the puck is going on?
The NHL Playoffs have come down to Game 7. The Detroit Red Wings vs The Pittsburgh Penguins. The series is tied 3-3. Tonight, that tie will be broken. One team will emerge victorious and win the 2009 Stanley Cup. This is hockey at its best. This is not just an ordinary hockey game. This hockey game will send a chill down your spine. Which team will get cold feet? Which team will freeze up in this final match-up? Will the Detroit Red Wings fly to victory? Or will the Pittsburgh Penguins waddle out a win? Tonight, Detroit will prove if they are hot wings or chicken wings? Tonight, Pittsburgh will show us if Penguins can fly or if they just look good in a tux. Tonight, one team will slip on the ice. The other team will skate to victory. One team will rise. One team will fall. One game. One winner. The Champions will produce a market that will be so hot it will melt the ice. There is a chill in the air. A cold wind is blowing. This cold front won't be producing any snow. This cold front will produce the 2009 Stanley Cup Winners.

i cant believe there are other ppl here to watch hockey, lol. no offense but from all indication, hockey in the US isnt all the big (unfortunately, especially since it really is, IMO, the best sport to watch).
as for the stanley cup final itself, yes it's gonna be huge! rematch of last year's final, however for me, the big thing to watch is going to be HOSSA! he basically turned down tons of money from the pens to stay pat last year but declined and took a discount to play in detroit to win a cup. so here we are 12 months later and he has a chance to win it all again, however, he has to face the team he played for last year. I kinda want the pens to win this year because (a) detroit wins too often, (b)maybe crosby will stop complaining about every little thing, (c) i'd like to see the penguins who were on the verge of bankrupcy a few years ago to solidfy itself as a true hockey market, and (c) i've always been a pens fan since the mario lemieux days. However, if the pens DO win, i'd feel extremely bad for Hossa. I like him alot as a player and understands why he would leave pitsburgh for detroit, just it would suck for him to have made the decision he made, only to lose to the team he couldve signed for more money and still win a cup. Any rate, the puck drops in about 20 mins so here's to a strong stanley cup playoffs and great final! GO CANUCKS!

Hockey is my favorite sport to watch. I just never have time and can't sit still long enough to watch it.
