And now I realize that what you are referring to is the daily deal in which the Latico Leathers Vyntage Finger Hole Clutch was offered at $49.99 for 24 hours instead of the price of $92.99.

We run deals through Ebay in their daily deals program on a pretty consistent basis. Manufacturers give us permission to discount a particular product for a 24 hour time period and we promote it on Ebay. In this case, we had permission from the manufacturer to run this deal for one day on our site as well and so we sent out an email blast to previous customers notifying them. This was a test and may not happen again. If it does, I will see if we can give advanced warning (it would only be 3-5 days max) so that affiliates could promote it if they so choose.

Yes, I've purchased before, that's why I'm on the mailing list and I was referring to the clutch. I think it's a neat idea - the daily deal, would like to see more of it. Everyone's looking for a bargain these days!

The living room search and rescue contest is a fabulous idea! Can I promote that?

Yes, feel free to promote the Living Room Search and Rescue contest! I bet it would get a great response from readers.

As for the daily deals, I'll push for it when I get back from vacation next week. The only thing is that it would be very little notification, maybe 5 days max, so affiliates would have to make quick changes to their sites. That being said, I think it is a good idea, and you are right when you say people are looking for deals. I'll make sure to keep everyone posted on what we're able to do here.
