I know many folks are concerned about site theft.

Has anyone used WebLockPro and if so, what kind of feedback do you have? Someone just recommended this at another board.

It can be found at http://www.weblockpro.com

Thanks in advance.

Hello Chris,

The WebLockPro is a good reliable software product. Not to try to our product .. but, we sell HTMLProtector which has the same features at $20 less with free 30 day evaluation.

The problem with all the encryptors is that the sites can't be spidered ... so what's the use?

While it's true if you totally encrypt your source code like Haiko stated, the spiders cannot read the code to archive in it's directory.

However, sometimes HTML protection is used for securing images, password accessing web site folders, right click protection w/alert, etc.

So HTML protection software does have useful uses other than simply locking the HTML source code itself.

HumbleFish has made a very valid point in demonstrating that there is no true way to fully protect any web page. The best protection is to never allow it to be published and seen.

However, most average surfurs don't know how to circumvent average security methods and those that do .. well .. they obviously studied this area for ways to counter security to achieve their stealing whatever they need in the first place. Which then instills the thought of "guess I shouldn't have published this".
