They seem to have a lot of ebooks. But their reporting looks to absolutely suck the big one.

Anyone making any sales with Click Bank? or should I change to someone else?

Hi Canfree,
Their reporting does stink but they do pay and you get an email every time you get a sale. One way I found to track the amount of visitors was putting a quick redirect on the page to see what they were clicking on and how many times. One of my sites is home biz oriented and I have a sale for every 40 to 50 clicks. Nothing to write home about but pays a few bills.

I also agree that the reporting arena at ClickBank is not up to par but they do absolutely pay. I wouldn't recommend switching away just because of the reporting as there are a # of good e-book/software programs that will produce for you as long as the product matches the theme of your site.

Clickbank .... pffft!

I have had several merchants from there and sent well over 10K TARGETED hits to them (about 3K each) I don't trust their "tracking" for shoot!

I started off well with clickbank but things have dried up now. With commissions generally about $10 a piece for me I like them.

Great range of items for sale, but I only promote one so cannot vouch for conversions rates on most items. Conversion rate on the one book I do promote is good. Don´t have exact figures at hand though, so better not post figures by memory

I use click bank to sell my online goodies. From that aspect they work very well, the stats and the emails tell me all I need.

The third party affiliate side is very weak, I give 15% commission on referrals and I know several sites link to me (checking my logs), but so far zippo paid out.

It is almost the same on the flip side I have recommended a few ebooks etc, So far only one sale in the last 5 months.

They do ok for me. Nothing special, but a welcome addition to the pot. They always pay on time and carry a range of unique goods not available elsewhere.

I agree that the stats junkies would be disappointed but every sale gives the name of the buyer. Clickbank is actually one third party I trust!

I do OK with Clickbank. Their site design is dull and there's no search feature but they do pay consistently. Actually I hope they leave their site as it is. Once upgrades start that's when there's likely to be trouble! Right now things are just fine. I also like receiving the emails notifying of a sale - at least one a day.

I've been making a living using Clickbank for about two years now. Have tried other affiliate programs elsewhere, but the only place I seem to be able to make sales is with Clickbank. Recommend them highly.

Just wanted to add that if you sell internet marketing related products, you may have been the victim of link theft in the past. Most webmasters into marketing on the internet know about Clickbank, and substitute your nickname with theirs in the hoplink so you do not get credit for the sale. Clickbank has just made some changes so that once someone clicks on your hoplink, they can't change the nickname anymore. I do not promote internet marketing related products, never had a bit of luck with them.

I use ClickBank for the marketing of my e-book "James Martell's Affiliate Marketers Handbook - 2002". Overall, the service is adequate, however they have very little available in the way of management reports.

As a result, I plan to be moving my program to another provider shortly.

I do well with them. You need to choose your merchants carefully. Many of their merchants also offer paypal as an alternate means to Clickbank. The habitual online buyers will have a paypal account and use it instead of the Clickbank option. If you stick to merchants that ONLY offer Clickbank as a payment option you will get a commish. But you need to moniter these merchants on a regular basis to ensure they do not change their payment options.

Tracking problems? Probobly-but then CJ, LS and others are 100% correct??????????????

I do well with ClickBank.. just like everywhere else, you need to select the right merchants (products) to promote.. The reporting side is very weak, but then as long as the checks keep rolling in it's worth putting up with..

Part of the problem with Clickbank is how easy it is to change the affiliate code. I started to see a slow down in sales and decided to cloak my links.

You can check out the cloaking software at www.affiliatelife.com

I was doing real well with Clickbank, and in fact
have been self employed for the last 2 1/2 years,
with most of my money coming from Clickbank.
However, the last couple of months sales have
declined, and I am really questioning whether
their tracking is working worth a hoot anymore.
From posts in other forums, I am not the only
one having problems with them lately.

Since I have posts higher up on this forum
stating that my sales have been down, I thought
I should post this as an update. Yesterday my
sales were good and today is starting out to be
a good day also, so maybe things are getting
back to normal now.
