I saw a post asking about favorite coding tunes from ~Michelle on the A Best Web Virtual Family forum, and it inspired this poll:

what type of music do you listen to when you code?

(Please exclude some of the broad lumpings together- I have to fit it into five options!)

If more than one fit, choose the one that you listen to most often.

If you cant decide which you listen to most often, choose whatever is playing now (or that you listened to most recently)

(BTW- please forgive me if this is too OT)

Erg- I *knew* I had left of something very fundamental; *that's* what it was- classical.

Any music that has a good beat to it. As long as the foot is tapping I stay awake.

Acoustic Alchemy, St Germain, Santana, George Benson ~~~ most other 'extremely talented and polished' instrumentalists ~ lots of guitar.

Category? No Idea

Classic rock! I don't think I could remember how to code without Led Zeppelin, Foghat, and The Who. Those bands really take me back... to a place that I've never been. I think I work faster and make fewer mistakes when listening to classic rock.

Anything that is fast and has a good beat. Otherwise I start getting tired and work slower.

Country. Humorous country.

Combined with a mix of electronica and AfroCelts (you lump them if you want, I wont).
