If the scoring were done today I'd have a huge 200 points in Frank's contest!

Well, maybe that's not too good, but it beats everyone who's reported so far...

If Google ever gets her act together I'll get more points, but I have a hunch I won't be the only one.

OK, the race is on! I did a check this morning, and if the scoring happened today I'd be over 2,000 points.

Dunno how far over, since it was so tedious figuring it all out. There were a lot of words I didn't bother checking, since I assumed I wouldn't score in them. It still took me well over 45 minutes. You'll really have a big job keeping score, Frank.

Question about scoring, maybe it was addressed in the rules, but I don't remember. If a person happens to have more than one of the first 10 results, do they all count? I hope that makes sense. If it's a 200 point phrase, and I have 2 pages in the top 10 results, do I get 400 points for that? I think I should.

As long as it's 2 different pages, I think they should both be counted in generating points. If you have all 10 spots (wow! good job!), I think all 10 pages should be awarded. If it's the same page listed multiple times in the first 10 results (does Google do this?) then I don't think more than the first should count.

The affiliate that works harder on results = the affiliate that earns more points.

My "here Google"ing worked for a while. Google came, indexed a bunch of my pages, and traffic got better and better. Then Google didn't come back, hasn't seen my latest pages, and the traffic is a bit less every day.

Gotta try again, I suppose. I sure don't want Google to lose all my pages just when it's getting to be the time for contest scoring!

I noticed that for eash of the keywords that I am listed twice (two seperate pages) in the top five ranking, that they are always connected, ie #1 and #2, #3 and #4 etc. Also the second is always indented under the first. Will I get points for both of these seperate pages for each keyword?

Google hasn't even come looking at the updated pages. Some days I could just scream.

One of my lines I rep for off line is going to be bringing in someones electric scooters for me to sell in my territory. Should help out on the learning curve for more sales spin.

I just backtracked a random clickthrough to my site from Google. It was from the first page of results.

The first 2 results were from someone I recognized from here. The next 2 were from UrbanScooters.com. The 5th was from someone I didn't recognize, but it was an urbanscooters.com affliliate.

I had the 6th and 7th. 8th was the manufacturer of the scooter involved. 9th and 10th were urbanscooters.com affiliates.

Frank, thanks for the clarification on double listings. Hit #14 on a Level 1 Keyword but still a ways to go to #1. Now need to concentrate on lower levels.

Missdonna, I also noticed a lot of UrbanScooter affiliates in the listings. From checking Level 2 keywords I saw the same affiliate a half dozen times in the top 4.

I'll be cheking results and passing out prize points on Monday. Well, actually I'll be checking results and saving a copy of those results pages on Monday and then figuring out the prize points throughout the week.

When I've got a final tally and checked the results, I'll make a post (affiliate names excluded) with prize points earned so far and a ranking.
