It's 100 Degrees in Salt Lake City today and I'm at our warehouse receiving winter gear from Arc'Teryx. While it's not obvious that there is a market for fleece jackets and Gore-Tex pants when the weather is this hot believe me there is. The first Ski and Snowboard magazines of the season just arrived in the mailboxes of winter sports enthusiasts. It might seem crazy, but I've spend more than one August Saturday sitting around my house in shorts, t-shirt and ski boots reading three different ski magazines cover to cover.

My point, other than to prove I'm a little crazy, is that the seasonal changes always seem to catch us off guard. They come earlier than you would expect. Instead of running into a lull in October when summer products slow down, get links to our winter products up now.

If you haven't checked in a while our Snowboard category once again has new products in it. Check out the Mens and Womens Winter Clothing pages for the newest styles from The North Face, Arc'Teryx, Marmot and Patagonia. Two specific items that are already selling like crazy - The North Face Denali Fleece Jacket and Nuptse Down Jacket in Pink Perfection for Women. This color is going crazy. I'll have seperate images of the Pink Perfection soon.

New products are being added to our website every single day. Start getting winter links up now - wearing ski boots while sitting at your computer is optional.

Only 15 weeks until the lifts open at Alta!

Thanks, Nova.

One resource that every affiliate should use to plan for winter products are the Buyer's Guide for Skis and Snowboards from Ski, Skiing, Powder and Snowboard Magazines. If you are serious about moving winter hardgoods, and at $499 and up for a pair of skis you should be, take $15 to Barnes and Noble and purchase a couple of the Buyers Guides. Better yet, use your own affiliate link and buy them online. The information you'll gain from reading these magazines will be well worth your time.

Bryan--

Better yet, we should just do lunch so you can tell me all of the products to focus on. Much better (and easier) than reading a magazine.

Also, waiting for the full datafeed--I've e-mailed you twice, but haven't heard anything back. Would appreciate a note back...

Hey Brian,

Is Alta your main "ski" hangout??

I love to ski, but must admit, never sat around in the summer in my ski boots!! (perhaps because they aren't that comfortable - I really do need a whole new setup).

Oh, by the way, they just closed the whole Rock Creek drainage area near Missoula. Hope you weren't planning on going camping there (it put a wrench in my plans).
