CJ keeps sending me about 20 datafeeds for Backcountrystore every day...Most of them empty..I have twice contacted CJ about this but it keeps happening.
If I am going to use your feeds, I only want the ones with products in it. I have my site set up to automatically process new feeds, and I can't go in manually every day and process the one good one. So if it doesn't get fixed, BCS won't be included in my new site. |

I told CJ to send you empty feeds Connie, after all the more people with empty feeds the less competition for me

ha ha Gordon..like they would listen to a guy who wears Pauline's dresses all the time!
It is kinda hard to automate stuff when you have to have a script run thru 19 empty feeds before it processes one with products. |

They send me two feeds for BCS that contain data once a week along with about a half dozen that are 4k each (I think empty) I also wish they'd fix it.
Also, they have had to re-create my feed a couple of times and have created a new 'folder' for me in the FTP account. I now get three different notifications that my feed is ready each week. It's not a big problem but I wish they'd clean that up to.. Add it to my wish list. You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. --Mark Twain |

Forget the CJ feeds...I've found they are rarely up-to-date for most CJ companies and are very limited. When possible, get the feed directly from the company. You won't be sorry.

cj datafeeds are still good for merchents that do not offer feeds, as long as merchents make sure they include categories because feed with no categories is as good as no feed.

Connie,
I'll see what CJ can do to stop sending out the empty feeds. I think I can set them so they are only available to our test group. What we plan to do with the extra product catalogs is have a catalog for each of our unique categories. The empty files are waiting for a change in the CJ interface, an improvement on the way affiliates view product catalogs, before they can be used the way I have planned. Thanks Bryan. CJ said they couldn't do much, as I am set up to get all feeds for all my merchants, and if they change things, I will manually have to notify them anytime I add a new merchant and need the feed.
Personally I like signing up for new merchants and automatically getting the feed, or dropping merchants and automatically having the feeds stop. I want everything automated, and your 20 or so feeds are the only thing screwing that up. So it ends up I just don't get your feed processed and added to my website. So if you want in, you gotta do something. |

I am not gonna use BCS if I keep having to manually go in and find the one feed out of 14 that has products in it! This is crazy! |

Connie look in your email - I sent you my 12 since you so enjoy the extra feeds.
Everyone make sure you send Connie all your BC feeds ![]() SandraR<font color="red"> <font face="Arial" size="1">ArtGoodies</font><font face="Arial" size="1"> - </font><font face="Arial" size="1">AutoGoodies</font><font face="Arial" size="1"> - </font><font face="Arial" size="1">BookGoodies</font><font face="Arial" size="1"> - </font><font face="Arial" size="1">CleanGoodies</font><font face="Arial" size="1"> - </font><font face="Arial" size="1">GameGoodies</font><font face="Arial" size="1"> - </font><font face="Arial" size="1">GiftGoodies</font><font face="Arial" size="1"> - </font><font face="Arial" size="1">PetGoodies</font><font face="Arial" size="1"> </font><font size="1" face="Arial">| SSAN & AIM: SSanAssistance | MSN & Yahoo: SSan_Assistance |</font></p> |

Hi Connie,
I'm really sorry about the datafeed problem you're having. I have checked into this with CJ and at this point there is nothing that can be done. The product catalog feature is a system that they are still working on. As it stands right now if you are receiving a datafeed from CJ it will send you all of our catalogs despite the fact that the majority of them are empty. Thanks, Thomas Bracken Affiliate Marketing Coordinator BackcountryStore.com |
