Would you please do me a favour and run a check on my sales (if you can find em) I'm losing a lot somehow I know the visitors has gone down since xmas but that should not make a big difference in the sales/click throughs/visitors ratios or am I mistaken thinking like this?

Another thing you could do if you will is have you noticed any new affiliates suddenly start to fetch in fairly large amounts of sales? if so look at how they are working they might be parasitic.

I would be very grateful if you could give me some reason as to why my sales have slumped so much.

Thanks in advance.

I've just done some quick calculations
In Feb my click through rate was aprox 1 in every 15.05 impressions
in march it was 1 in every 14.7 impressions now it is 1 in every 26.6 almost 1/2 Seems to me someone somewhere is intercepting my customers.

Could well be genuine.

I have checked for one of my schemes and the conversion rate in Nov/Dec was twice that what it was in the summer.

The key is that whetehr people are in casual browse/research mode or probably going to buy mode when they go online.

So for backstore it could be that right now people are in research mode for their purchases for summer holidays.

Once you have enough stats to go back more than one year you can compare year on year.

It may be worth a personal email to the AM at backstore asking if your figures reflect their general trends.

Oh and if my conversion rates drop I always go and double check that there is nothing wrong with my sites as just to easy to get something wrong and not notice.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Les, I think you pretty much nailed it. We are in the low part of the year right now. It's the changing seasons and the post-holiday lull all at once. It's called Mud Season and it happens every year. A lot of your traffic right now is that guy just out cruising and doing research on the new Spring and Summer equipment. He'll decide what he wants in the next couple of weeks. This slow period usually lasts though mid to late April and then sales will generally start picking up.

I know it's kind of frightening but sales will get back to normal. We also experience a big drop-off of conversion at this time of year and, believe me, I understand your concerns. Rest assured, everything will be back to normal in a couple of weeks.

Thanks,

Thanks Tom I guess I started panicking with all these bloody parasites raising their ungodly heads. I should have known you would be keeping on top of things.
