I found www.shop-online-for.com looking for Beverages and More products through Google. The thing is they have no actual pages with products to click. They simply redirect straight to the product page after setting the cookie. This seems a little unethical to me and Bevmo told me they've warned this user. They're affiliated with many other merchants so I thought I'd post this here as a warning.

Nice catch Snib. You've captured a rogue affiliate from down under. Looking under the covers of this SE spammer you find:

Administrative Contact: Silva, Tom tsilva190@yahoo.com P.O.Box L65 Mount Lewis, NSW 2200 AU 0404810198 Amazing Tom's group has a ton of no content merchant redirect domains like www.PERFUME-WORLD.NET probably employing doorway pages recognizing then tricking Google's bot into giving indexing keyword stuffed pages a high SERP value. Mr Tricks for clicks. He also has some porn related popup hellholes and probably employs spamming routines for his merchant pool while flipping the bird to USA laws....  www.the-online-shop.com is a typical example of his re-direct expertise and even Adsense swallows this crap. Some affiliate in Dark Blue was doing that for us...It's a totally slimy way to send traffic...part of the reason we pulled our program, they started sending the traffic to Trimlife me thinks...Nothing against Dark Blue mind you.

Evan these kind of lazy, greed driven affiliates, are nothing more then commission thieves who give a rats ass about their merchants or their visitors. It's all tricks for clicks to set cookies and SE spam.

We will all have to suffer through more threads like this during 2004 as affiliate marketing seems to lack detourents for these practices.
