Buy from Backcountry.com and pay no Sales Tax!

Hey All,

Here is another great offer that you can pass on to your customers. ... We have decided to absorb sales tax for all orders being shipped to Utah for the remainder of April. This means that customers ordering from Backcountry.com, BackcountryOutlet.com, Tramdock.com, DogFunk.com & Explore64.com will not pay sales tax. No Sales Tax + Free Shipping will drive better conversion and higher commissions for our Affiliates.

Here are the details:

How can we swing this? Well it turns out you only have to charge sales tax for orders that are shipped to the state that your business is located. We're only in Utah, and since most of our customers aren’t shipping to Utah, we don't have to charge them a cent. They won't get that deal from everyone else, with stores spread all over the country.

It may not sound like much, but if a customer is buying a new pair of skis for $599, sales tax from everyone else would cost around fifty bucks. Combine that with our free shipping, and it adds up to a pretty good pile. We think our customers have got better things to do with their cash than shell out for sales tax and shipping, wouldn't you agree?

Customers who ship to Utah shouldn’t have to pay more than everybody else in the country, so we'll refund the amount of their sales tax on any purchase through the end of April. Viva la Utah!

So when your site visitors are comparing prices like a savvy internet shopper, they’ll see who's quietly adding in sales tax and heinous shipping fees at the last moment. So make sure and refer your customers to Backcountry.com. Their dollars should go towards great gear, not taxes and shipping.
