Just wanted to let everyone know that I found e-bates lurking in our CJ program and have given them the boot.
I see e2give is also one of our affiliates. If I have confirmation that they are parasitic, I will drop them too. Cleaning house is fun! Anybody else I should look for? Scott Marino www.WebUndies.com |

Scott,
quote:http://www.e2give.com/faq/ quote:http://www.e2give.com/about.shtml Appears they still don't have their software up on their site. Don't know if they may be bundling however. Will have to look into that one. Some posts here at abw regarding them: http://abw.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=548608979&f=982601789&m=8886059381 http://abw.infopop.cc/6/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=548608979&f=982601789&m=5376050402 Keep Your Hands Off My Cookies |

Scott,
was ebates promoting webundies? I mean, just curious... how significant of a decrease in sales are we talking about. I have been wanting toget a glimpse, somehow, of what real impact these parasiteware/thiefware companies are actually having. I have three sites thatdepend eavily on online shoppers for revenue. One is a gift site, an online coupon/codes site, and a gift site. I am suspicious of these companies stealing my, 1. Visitors 2. Sales/Commissions 3. Cookies I have increased the number of pages to my three sites, significantly, in the past year. However, even though my traffic has picked up, my revenue is less than it was a year ago. where can I find a list of merchants/advertisers using the various publishers/parasiteware companies?
I think I will start over, this time will not be using advertisers that work as accomplices to thievery! Big Chuck If you can't run with the big dogs, then stay on the porch! |

quote: Apparently, the had signed on a while ago, but had never activated any links. We improved our terms to 60 day/unlimited actions and all of a sudden, I got an e-mail from them that they had "changed their terms". When a publisher changes their terms, they get flagged in the merchant interface and their status goes back to applied. At that point I changed them to expired. I had no idea they were even in our program. I wanted to post that I booted them in case they were in the process of adding my links. I've been flamed once here and don't want to experience that again. Scott Marino WebUndies.com |

For a moment, I had a disturbing image of e-Bates and underwear and ... * shudder * ... I think I need to go home now.
