Hello, tks for the reply.
>Are you planning on having any type of downloadable application with your reward site? ??? Downloadable ? What do you mean by that ? It will be a reward website, you shop, and you get your reward, what would be a downloadable application ? >It's Your Money. You earned it. What are you going to do to make sure you get to keep it? What are you talking about ? All I want, is to understand what parasites are, how can they be a problem to a reward website, and what to do about it. Tks a lot ***undes |

There's nothing wrong with having a reward site. Don't pay attention to EcomCity.com, he thinks all rebate sites are bad and sometimes he forgets to take his medication. I'll just copy and paste the definition from above:
"ParasiteWareâ„¢ - is technology (including, but not restricted to, browser helpers, browser plug-ins, toolbars and pop ups/sliders) that knowingly or unknowingly undermines or removes another affiliate's ability to compete by changing, intercepting or redirecting an affiliate link. Parasitewareâ„¢ may be installed knowingly or unknowingly by the end user, altering their normal web browser functions and/or installing a third party application that works through the user's altered browser." |

Obviously you still haven't received a real clear answer on this very, very important issue.
We are presently building our affiliate program and definitely want to do whatever possible to curb any parisiteware. In theory I know what it is, and by definition I know. Now what can I do to assure myself first and all affiliates that parisites will not be tolerated. No pop ups I can understand. But tell me how are browser helpers and browser plug-ins used. How can I address his? Thanks for your help? Do It, Mike Honerable affiliate program with good payouts |
