Hey Everyone,

As you may or may not know, DeepDiscountDVD and DeepDiscountCD are coming together under one roof at DeepDiscount.com.

I now have all the details from them, and want to pass them along so we can make this the smoothest transition as possible.

The plan is on schedule, and it looks like the new site will be launched at 11:00 am CST this Monday, 1/22/07. Unfortunately there will be a blackout period in the morning hours before the launch due to the nature of the switch. This is not just a new site, but a combination of different sites. They are keeping the same customer pool as well as order history, so they cannot accept orders from different sites with the same customer or else it would be a complete mess.

Those of you on the DeepDiscountDVD Program who are simply using banners, or simple text links should be fine. We will be switching the default urls over to DeepDiscount.com during that time. If you are using our hosted banners, those should be automatically switched as well. If you are hosting them yourselves, you will need to grab the new banners.

Those affiliates that are utilizing deep links as well as product feeds will unfortunately have to update your sites manually. I deeply apologize for this inconvenience. This was the only way they could handle the switch over due to the mass ordering system they are combining with all of their sites.

I am hoping the new product feed will be available before the switch; however they haven't guaranteed it can be done. As you can imagine they are working around the clock to make sure everything transitions smoothly.

Those of you under the DeepDiscountCD program, will unfortunately have to join the DeepDiscountDVD program, which will become the DeepDiscount.com program on Monday. If you are not already signed up to DeepDiscountDVD, here is a link to sign up:

Along with the new site, a new tiered commission structure is being worked out. I will get that to everyone as soon as it is finalized.
