I had linked with a "pet resource" place when I first put my site up a month ago. Today when I did my daily maintanence, a pop up cam up wanting me to sign into their network. I called some friends that I knew were not members of this particular website and had them try my homepage........same thing, pop up. What was worse, this pop up wasn't just on my homepage....but every page in my site.

I deleted every link I had to this company and the pop ups are gone.

Was that a parasite?

Was this signup screen displayed when you were editing your pages, or was it while you were browing your website?? If you were editing your pages I have seen this happen when you are linking to an image on another site. If you were editing your page I personally would not worry.

Both, was found when I was browsing (and others we're browsing) and when I went into my editor.

Once I removed all links everything for myself, and others, was fine. Ugh, so much to learn!!! It's gonna drive me to LOL

In this case it is not the same thing I have seen in that past. The fact that it is happing when you are browsing the site it may be a concern. It maybe a good idea to scanned your compuer for spyware.

I completely agree, thankfully I have a program that kicks spyware out every few hours. Like I said, the wierd thing was it was happening to others that were viewing my site at the same time. Makes me wonder if it had something to do with their links.

Once I removed their links, all was fine for everyone. I won't do business with them again...that's for sure!

Thanks for cleaning up my mess Michael..
So my thought was that maybe the links you were given were script tag ones. In there they have more flexibility on any evildoings they want to send your way.
I always try to stick with regular html links on my pages.
