Hardly dare watch...

Rugby World Cup Final tonight England V South Africa. England lost 36-0 (!) in the preliminaries against S.A., but beat Australia and France in the quarter and semi-finals against the odds and are the current cup holders.

Lewis Hamilton in the Brazilian F1 Grand Prix, if he comes 1st or 2nd, he'll have won the drivers championship. This would make him the first ever driver to do this in his first F1 season (and also the first black driver ever to achieve it).

Maybe I'll get two bottles of champagne on sale-or-return.

Ok first bottle is in the the car to go back! Hard fought game though, England gave them a hard job. As a S.A. fan said on the radio yesterday, S.A. deserve it as England have just had a lucky 2 weeks in the last 4 years, realistically we did really well to get as far as we did. S.A. are worthy (if somewhat arrogant) champions.

However - (I got it wrong earlier, the GP is tomorrow) - Hamilton really does deserve to win and has P2 position (pole 2) on the starting grid. What am I going to bite when my nails are all gone?

Oh arse! and Fek!

Hamilton missed it by 1 point, still mightily impressive for a driver in his first ever F1 season to be the world's no.2
