Nayim, I wish you the best of luck with this affiliate program. You are clearly putting a lot of effort into it and the recurring commissions seem enticing. Congratulations on launching your new site, but I must be frank and say the design and graphics are not exactly cutting edge, which doesn't inspire confidence.

Now that you have switched to fixed payment, will you still pay on a recurring basis?

With over 90% of the affiliate programs promising recurring lifetime commissions we have promoted over the last ten years, either the company has closed down or they have stopped paying out residual income. What reassurance can you offer that WebLutions will be around and paying us recurring commissions in 2011 or 2012?

We have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars promoting individual affiliate programs, so need to acquire as much information as possible about advertisers we work with. How many people work for WebLutions? What would you say are your USPs compared to the thousands of other hosts out there? Any other information you can give?

Thanks for your comments, we reviewed the payment structure some time ago and realized that affiliates wanted a more secure and reliable form of payment.

WebLutions will now pay £10 per sale of hosting plan rather than 40% commission. This guarantees you an immediate payment which you don't have to wait for. It is also quite generous and is a one off payment, so no longer recurring.

All you have to do is send us a sale for a hosting plan to earn £10! Payment is made once the balance reaches £50*


WebLutions is a new startup, we've spent the past few weeks putting the site together and getting everything up and running. We have a small but dedicated team of professionals and are UK based. This gives us faster response times particularly for ticket response and means we can concentrate on each customer more than others.

Our site is functional and we are constantly looking to improve based upon feedback.
The main thing to note is that the site may be new but we've been in and around the hosting community for some time now, largely in reselling (without a site) and still offer free hosting services to tempt newbies. We can say that we have the drive and ambition to carry this through for our customers and affiliates.

Have you had any luck getting affiliates to join your program now that you are offering the upfront payment of £10?

Without that £10 upfront payment, were you having trouble getting affiliates to join your program?

I've been thinking a lot about residual income programs lately, and I wanted to learn more about them.

Most affiliates would prefer to receive a set commission per sale they make, as recurring commission depends upon too many factors such as long term success of company etc. Some affiliates may be worse off earning only a % of a sale, so I would recommend paying them that way - I certainly did see a lot more interest when that was introduced.
