I thought the folks at Disney had more sense than this:

It's a fat world, after all
Disneyland announces plans to close the "It's a Small World" attraction to deepen its water channel after the ride's boats start getting stuck under loads of heavy passengers.

(And here's the kicker...)

Employees ask larger passengers to disembark - and compensate them with coupons for free food. Check the photo - at this link:

Maybe they should change their mascot to Mickey Moose.

I love lists like that. I just finished going through the whole thing - some really great stuff in there! But no, I wouldn't expect Disney to be smarter than that.

One of the all time dumbest business moves was when IBM laughed at the inventor of the photocopy process. They said no one would ever use that. Xerox thought different, now they are making the money and IBM is kicking themselves.(or should be)

Yeah, but in the late 70s, engineers at Xerox had computers with a mouse and a GUI interface (though crude of course), but the big shots at Xerox couldn't figure out any use for the stuff. After the engineers showed their stuff to Steve Jobs, he went back to his Apple headquarters and put his people to work developing the Mac computer.

Of course, another IBM screw-up was when they agreed to license MS-DOS and MS-BASIC from Bill Gates (rather than buy it outright).

I love #46... Johnson and Johnson suing the Red Cross for "infringing on their red cross trademark" for their first aid products. LOL. Unbelievable.

Actually isn't that great customer service? They are giving their customers something they want and will use. It isn't there job to make their customers healthier, just happier (at least in the short term).
