Thanks for the heads up!
They were doing fine without that download. They just had to be greedy and mess everything up.

Good move Eric to keep all the BHO's off you affiliate roster. I notice all your major competitors on on those TopMoxie theftware lists and NONE OF THEM convert worth a hoot:

My lame site with no SEO/SEM optomized traffic gets a steady 1/60 conversion ratio for traffic referred to TigerDirect. That even factors in those hundreds of clicks to that generic OOS page due to the changes in the BF linking codes.

09/09/2003- 10/09/2003 TigerDirect.com impressions=215,917 clicks=4,008 sales=96 $18,284.32 96 $18,284.32 0 0 1 $727.57

Mike,

how does that conversion ratio compare to others?

Is there a +/- for you? (for other affiliates?)

No big secret on conversion ratios for any major TD competitor.....Dell -Microwarehouse -Gateway-PcMall/Macmall -eCost -Buy.com -Tech Depot/Computers-4sure haven't show a sincle sale from links on those same pages. Only IBM and SurPlus Computers and occasionally ComputerGeeks pop a few sales.

I'm not about to shove a coupon up someone's butt to compete in the checkout lane with the BHO's taking turns on incenting computer related traffic. Some Chimp in Michael Jackson's private zoo could run any of those other programs. Firing their AM's would be a blessing for the affiliate community as only the SEO/SEM and incenters can ever expect to do better than 1 sale per 600 clicks.

No clicks for tricks here, and yet almost 600 clicks and not a sale to be seen. I have to admit Tiger is hard to find on the site where I use them, but come on no sales 600 clicks, give me more adsense (which = honest payment in my book) as far as affilate programs are concerned 6 of my indy programs payoff at 1 in 40 clicks on average, yet almost all of my network merchants convert at 1 in a 100 - 500 or more.
I am tired of giving free advertising!

Shoot me an email with your site info. Maybe I can help bring that conversion ratio up.

I find the TD conversion ratio is the steadiest of any program I showcase. Mostly you want to tickle the computer shopper with the middle of the road items. Not the cheapies or the more expensive ones. I figure if I buy or stock that item, at that price, I should throw up a link to it. Still find it funny those tired old banner links show more sales activity then the product links.

About time TD keeps the same name for their banners but upgrades the banner images. Some haven't changed in 3 years and show Compaq systems starting at $799 ....LOL

I got 2 sales out of 565 CT's.
Made a whopping 1,80 out of it
2 more weeks and I can get myself a BigMac!
