They contacted us through CJ and we denied them due to the toolbar. Today I get a request for banners for another GAN program.

This looks like classical adware via toolbar and will remove from all programs. Does anyone have a good word for them?

Haven't heard back. If more AM's comment here I can start a thread about them in the parasiteware forum.

How is this even possible? I just read in another thread that contextual adware is against all the major networks TOS. Is it uncontextual adware or something?

Moved this thread to a public forum for discussion.

Good question Trust wasn't aware that contextual advertising was against TOC for networks. Or are you specifically saying contextual adware?

It's not considered contextual adware by the networks. It's reminder software, or loyaltyware, which is allowed when the software behaves within certain parameters.

iJango is software reminder software like ShopAtHome, iGive, Upromise, RetailMeNot toolbar, etc in that it "reminds" the end user they can be earning some type of incentive (in this case a rebate on shopping). It also seems to be a whole browser with the rebate feature built in, not just a BHO, toolbar, etc. It's worthy to note that they have versions for both PC and MAC users.

@Chuck. Examples would be Zango (180Solutions), MediaTraffic (Vomba), DirectCPV (LoudMo), TrafficVance (GameVance).
