Count the F's.
How many do you find?

It's funny (well I think so) that most people only count 3.
(that is, if the correct answer isn't too close and don't make people recount a lot)
I placed this on my forum a while ago, out of 200 answers over 50% was wrong.

I think I’m like Google. When I read it I mentally omitted the very common word “of”. So I only mentally registered the less common words containing the “f’s”

Jup, thats it
There is a whole psycological explanation for it as well, but my English is not good enough to go there
A search on google for "count the f's" will return many results on that part.

"Count the F's"
I will again say there are Zero, Nada 0 F's in that sentence. According to the Question it asks specificly to count the "F's"
There are 6 occurances of the letter F but 0 "F's"

Ehm, ok.
My english is not perfect and what I have learned was Uk or general English, or whatever you call that, not "American English".
Usually I get around with that pretty good, didn't think it would be that big of a deal in "Daily Chuckle"

Vive, get ready to kick yourself. There are 3 occurrences of the word “of”. I had to paste it into Word and do a search before I saw the first one, then suddenly the other 2 appeared on my screen.

Are people seriously suggesting that they could not read 6 f's the first time they read the sentence?
No way

Yep only saw three first time - its' a speed reading thing I don't actually read every word.
I had to go back and slowly read each word to get six.
