One of his brothers in arms was just arrested and charged with weapons charges. Looks like the police are sure there was weapons involved.
Looks like everyone is going to get arrested.

Is this what he actually will do time for? Stealing his own stuff back? And he avoids the double murder charge because of double jeopardy.

Not because of double jeopardy, but because of the total incompetency of Christopher Darden, Marsha Clark, and the LAPD detectives and CSI personnel. Hopefully, the Las Vegas PD and Clark County DA's office will know what they are doing.

Pathological personalities are charming but lacking in normal human sense of remorse. Most are smart enough to bypass society's moral conventions.

He's learned he can get away with murder. Armed robbery, or whatever they are calling this, should be easy.

whatever they nab him on, at least they have him. I hope they can find a way to keep him locked up where he should have been the last decade or so.

Geraldo is having a hayday with this. The police have someone's phone with a message from OJ telling him to say "there were no guns, tell them there were no guns".
The Las Vegas police are handling this a whole lot better than the LA cops did way back when.

Maybe in Vegas they are used to arresting so called "famous" people. Kudos to them then, because that is one man that belongs behind bars forever.

Yes, police aren't blinded by celebs here. Looks like a slew of new charges will be filed by tomorrow because he tried to "cover up".

And they have a bunch of charges already. Most of them are slam dunks. They took the stuff (obvious) and at least two people had guns (obvious seized and probably on tape somewhere).
Much better to commit crimes in a dark neighborhood on the front walkway than in a casino with top notch security.
The videos will probably nail him on this one.

Nothing is a slam dunk when it comes to OJ. Just as I get my hopes up for something to look forward to on tv, I am sure my hopes will be dashed. Anyone else watch every single minute of his murder trial?

One of those robbed had a pocket portable tape recording of every word OJ & Gang said to them during the shakedown. Real spooky with OJ threatening the 3 Sports Collector/peddlers with physical harm. Mention made on the tape one victim helped OJ hide funds in offshore numbered bank accounts over the years.... So these guys know each other and OJ was after cash generating assets to support his well deserved entitlement life style.

The tape made was actually someone going in with him to get his stuff back. If he complained to the police about stolen property, and they failed to react, that might give him some wiggle room. I mean, if they won't act on his complaint that the dealer stole 75K worth of his stuff, then how can they prosecute him when the dealer complains about the exact same items?
Hopefully they will put him away, but I don't think that he will be given a fair hearing this time, unlike the last when the jury/judge bent over backwards to grant him every conceivable break.

It's a shame that Johnnie Cochran isn't around to defend him this time. If OJ learned anything from Johnnie Cochran he'll state at his bail hearing "If the stuff is mine, it's not a crime".

What I find most interesting about OJ is the disconnect between his self-assessment and the way he's perceived by others. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that they think he's mentally ill and I believe that's probably true. If I had to guess (and I only took one psych course in college so I'm no expert) I'd guess that he has a borderline personality disorder. Hubby thinks he's psychotic. Who knows?
People with BPD know the difference between right and wrong and are therefore not exempt from standing trial for a crime based on a plea of insanity. They tend to view the world in relation to themselves in black-and-white terms. They simply don't "get" what the rest of us understand, that is, that our needs are distinct from the needs of others and aren't preeminent and that our actions have consequences not only to ourselves but to others.
Borderline Personality Disorder
SEARCH: O.J. Simpson borderline personality
To paraphrase Johnnie Cochran, "If he did the crime he has to do the time."

I watched as much of it as I could. I was listening on the radio I sneaked in to one of my classes in college when the verdict was announced. Apparently others were too, as cheers erupted in the classroom. I couldn't have been more disgusted with my fellow students. At that moment, the fact that higher learning does not equal higher intelligence was made completely crystal clear for me. LOL.
Ironically, a few days before news of this latest OJ incident broke, hubby and I were watching a re-run of Seinfeld where Kramer sued a lady that was walking down the street in just a bra and blazer. He demanded she try the bra on, which she did... over her clothes. And of course, it didn't fit.

The victim, Bruce Fromong, is in critical condition after suffering a heart attack. If he dies and the medical evidence shows a causal connection with the armed robbery, maybe they'll try Simpson for felony murder.
