Driveby I am assuming, because I KNOW I didn't sign up... i have been getting pop ups forever and finally was able to move it with Trend Micro. The VERY interesting thing is adaware didn't catch it, search and destroy didn't, and several other programs didn't catch it. Here is the url if anyone wants to do a free scan:
