Hi All

A long time trend for affiliates overseas has been to target the US, it has the largest most well established affiliate business and is by far the easiest eCommerce nation to market in.

So I was wondering, how many affiliates "based in the USA" have looked down that road in the opposite direction and do a lot of affiliate marketing in nations outside of the US. Or do US based affiliates still very much focus on the local market?

We have been in the UK market for nearly two years now with mixed results. We want to target additional European countries within the next five years...

Yes same here for the UK. I think it's one of those markets where it is a lot more event driven. As it's pretty easy to get around in the UK (no 4000 mile coast to coast trips) there seem to be a lot more local pub events that people attend and being able to attend / sponsor small events can help a lot.

In France we've had less of that experience, though the French firms we have worked with have generally not been targeting France anyway.
